Hoarfrost, Nettie Pots, Snow and Sushi

Let's start with the sushi.  My first experience with it...it is pretty...

It wasn't bad, but not delish.  My stomach was a bit queezy afterward.

I had to take this picture in the Natural Foods store.
Family Nettie Potting!
See how happy they are!!!

Also had to take a picture of this sign along the highway...how true!

I digress...we had lots of fog last week.  Soupy, but the hoarfrost
that resulted was pretty.

It was all over the trees.  Even the antennas on the cars.

The pines were pretty
too.

One must also be dressed for winter...

Funny story here...
I kept losing my gloves.  The solution...mini bungee cords :)
Notice them hanging on my sleeves.

Went to...

All the gates were shut, but it was pretty cool.

Part of our Kerr Dam hiking excursion.

The lake above the dam.

Flathead Lake

More sky pictures...

clouds...

these are the Mission Mountains and clouds...

more mountains and clouds...

Cool 'snow sliding off a metal roof' pictures.

Snowy stream...

Finally, a thought for the day.
Wisdom from a refrigerator magnet :)

Hope you enjoy the updates. We are well. Hope you all are too.
Love ya!

Montana Skies

Northwestern Montana is not known for it's clear winter skies, but it has been so
for several days.  We are near Flathead Lake so get some fog, but the sun
has been good to us this week.

You can see a little edge of Flathead Lake in the left corner of this picture...

Monday went on a little hike.  Tried snow shoes on for the first time. Getting used
to fun in the cold.  It was freezing cold for a couple of weeks.

Views from the mountain...

My guides :)

Sporting the snow shoes...

Skillful maneuvers...lol!!!

Trevor had  to get in on the action...

Don't know if you can make this out, but it is an osprey.  Big bird...
There were several golden eagles that I couldn't get a picture of.  They
were too quick

Loving this place.  Both Monica and I are well. She sends her love to everyone.
We had a rough week last week.  A dear friend died and we needed to
be here.  Wish we could have been with the family.

Take care everyone!

Hunting in Montana

I thought hunters were serious in Missouri, but this is ridiculous.

Saw this guy along the road...

Giant Smiley Face

The top two pictures are jokes, but this really happens...

In one town the local Dish Network dealer was offering a free gun
with every new Dish contract....it is all legal!

A local church advertised Men's Worship.  It includes bringing your rifle, your favorite
mount, and watching hunting videos.  Each week a gun is raffled off!

It is winter here.   A pretty crick...

Just sharing our Montana adventures.

We are alive and well.  So far winter is not so bad.  A little cold this week, but we have
had SUN!!!!

Hope everyone is doing well.
